Mercy Heroes
Mercy Heroes are adoptable animals whose breed, age, or other characteristics allow them to command a higher adoption fee than many of the animals in our care.
The additional adoption fee helps Mercy offset the cost of rescuing and caring for animals with extensive medical, behavioral, or special-needs requirements. These funds support veterinary treatment, medications, surgeries, and ongoing care for some of our most vulnerable animals.
In many ways, Mercy Heroes help make rescue possible for others. Their adoption fees allow us to say "yes" to animals who might otherwise be turned away because of the cost of care.
By adopting a Mercy Hero, families are not only giving one animal a loving home, they are also helping Mercy continue its mission of saving animals in need.
